If you are or have been a part of a PPD Support HI support group, or have called for support or referrals, or know of this organization in some other capacity, you are welcome to leave comments on this page. Here are some suggestions, but don’t feel you must answer these particular questions.

  • Which service(s) did you use? (Telephone support, support group, referrals, other)
  • Were there similar services available elsewhere?
  • ~For GROUP ATTENDEES~
  • What did you get out of attending the group?
  • Would you suggest parents struggling with a new baby/mood issues attend? Why, or why not?
  • What else?

Thank you for your input!

The first postpartum/perinatal mood disorder legislation affecting ALL mothers, not only high risk mothers was brought to the Hawaii State Senate on January 18, 2008.  It has passed the 1st reading and went to 2 committees; the Ways and Means committee and the committee on Health.  It's not a done deal--click on the Bill number, below, to keep track of what is happening.  Contact your district representative (link) to weigh in on this important issue.
